Since moving to Inwood in 2012 the parks in upper Manhattan have been central to my art practice both as subject and site, as my work has generally concerned itself with the genre of landscape.

The parks, particularly Inwood Hill and Isham have been places I go to for replenishment and inspiration. Nocturnal space has been an ongoing interest because the form and space of the landscape is reduced and flattened due to low light conditions, eliciting in me, a settling interiority.

This selection represents a focused period of quick sketches done during nighttime wanderings.
